How I Built a $1,000/Day Shopify Store with Minimal Work
Confession time: I only work 3 to 5 hours a week on my Shopify store. Despite this, my store consistently generates over $1,000 a day in sales with minimal effort. In this article (and the video that accompanies it), I’ll share exactly how I achieved these results and how you can replicate them for your own brand.
But first, let’s dive into the numbers.
Profits and Results
Over the last 30 days, my Shopify store has consistently generated over $1,000 in daily sales—except for one off-day. The profits? They range from $100 to $800 daily, with most days falling between $100 and $500.
This level of consistency didn’t happen overnight—it’s the result of two years of focused effort. However, I believe you can achieve this too if you follow these three key strategies.
Strategy #1: Mastering Google Rankings
One of the biggest factors behind my store’s success is ranking high on Google search results. While this can take time, here are two steps I took to speed up the process:
Hire an SEO Expert
An SEO expert can optimize your website’s backend, ensuring it aligns with Google’s algorithms. This service is relatively affordable and worth the investment, even in the early stages of your business.Leverage Backlinks with Blog Reviews
Paying small blogs to review your product creates backlinks, which boost your brand’s authority on Google. When your product is reviewed on reputable blogs, it increases the chances of Google recommending your site.
Pro Tip: Ensure your product is high-quality before pursuing reviews. A subpar product will result in poor feedback, which can hurt your brand.
Strategy #2: Running Ads Across Multiple Platforms
Ads are a critical driver of sales. I recommend focusing on one platform initially and mastering it before expanding to others.
Currently, I run ads on Facebook, Google, and TikTok, though most of my sales come from Facebook and Google since I’ve been using them for almost two years. For beginners, TikTok ads are an excellent starting point due to their potential for rapid growth.
My Simple Facebook Ads Strategy
I keep my Facebook ads straightforward. I run:
- One campaign
- One ad set targeting a broad audience
- Three ad creatives
The key focus? The creative content and marketing angle. While targeting is essential during the testing phase, once you find what works, your attention should shift to refining the ad copy, visuals, and message.
Why Google Ads Are a Game-Changer
Google Ads provide a consistent stream of buyers for my store. I use search campaigns targeting:
- My brand name
- My competitors’ names
- Terms related to my product
Additionally, I use Google’s retargeting feature, which ensures anyone who visits my site will see my product repeatedly until they make a purchase.
Strategy #3: Delivering Exceptional Customer Experience
Here’s the biggest mistake I see dropshippers make: neglecting their customers. Selling low-quality products with long shipping times is a surefire way to lose business.
To avoid this, follow these steps:
Research Your Supplier
Check reviews (especially photo reviews), evaluate their transaction history, and message them to confirm their legitimacy.Test the Product Yourself
Order the product via Amazon or your supplier’s fastest shipping method to ensure it’s high-quality. Use this sample to create original content for your ads.Work with an Agent
Once you scale, hire an agent in China to connect with top manufacturers, negotiate better prices, and secure faster shipping. This improves product quality and delivery times, enabling word-of-mouth marketing.
The Importance of Building a Team
A reliable team is the backbone of any successful business. I currently have three key employees:
- A manager to oversee daily operations
- A customer service representative
- A marketing manager
In the early stages, you’ll handle these tasks yourself, but once your store is consistently profitable, start building your team. Platforms like Upwork, eCommerce Facebook groups, or my Discord server are excellent places to find talent.
Pro Tip: Take time to train your team and find people you trust—it’s an investment that will pay off in the long run.
